About Tete Getty House & the Tete Getty Research Institute (TGRI)
Tete Getty House serves as an independent platform dedicated to thoughtful inquiry, cultural preservation, and intellectual discourse, with a primary focus on Southern African geopolitics, Shona traditions, Ubuntu philosophy, economic analysis, astronomy, artificial intelligence, and the intersection of traditional wisdom with contemporary global challenges.
Through the affiliated Tete Getty Research Institute (TGRI), we pursue rigorous, evidence-based research aimed at fostering deeper understanding and constructive dialogue on issues affecting Zimbabwe, the broader Southern African region, and the diaspora.
Our work is guided by principles of integrity, empowerment, and justice, drawing on lived experiences within Zimbabwe and international communities, while engaging with universal themes of identity, resilience, and progress.

A Welcome to Our Visitors
To those joining us here from ZimGetty.wordpress.com, our longstanding student-focused archive, or from our presence on X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and other WordPress spaces: a warm and heartfelt welcome.
ZimGetty continues to stand as a dedicated resource for students—particularly Zimbabwean and international university newcomers to the UK—offering timeless advice on cultural adaptation, academic life, and personal growth.
This evolution to TeteGetty.com reflects a natural maturation: the passionate voice of a young diaspora student has deepened into a more seasoned perspective, enriched by years of reflection, research, and contribution.
We invite you to explore our current sections, including in-depth analyses, research outputs, and multimedia content, while continuing to draw inspiration from the foundational spirit that began with ZimGetty.
Thank you for being part of this journey. We look forward to your engagement, insights, and shared commitment to meaningful discourse.
Warm regards,
Saba Getty
